What we keep, and what we never show
Role titles, never names. That rule runs through the course and through how this site stores what you give it.
- What we keep
- If you take the Hero Test, we keep your answers to the single-choice questions (your seat, your case, what waits) and the reading path they produce, tied to a random code stored in your browser. If you sign in, we keep your email address, any name or company you add, your results, your module progress, and the teams you create or join.
- What stays private
- Your typed answers to the seven questions are stored only if you sign in and choose to save them, and only you can see them. They never appear on a shared link, a team view, or anywhere else.
- What a shared link shows
- Your case and your seat. Never your answers, your name, or your email.
- What your team sees
- How many members have taken the test, and how the team's latest results spread across the three cases and three seats, only once five or more members have a result. After that the counts refresh only when five more results arrive, so no one person's answer shows up as a change. The view never names who answered what.
- Referrals
- If someone arrives through your link, we count the visit and, if they take the test, the result, so you can see the count. We store a one-way hash of the visitor's network, never the address itself, and use it only to stop abuse and double counting.
- Requests to KeyDelta
- If you ask for a call, a session, or a keynote, your request is emailed to KeyDelta through Formspree and stored with the course so the team can reply. It is used for nothing else.
- We email you a sign-in link when you ask for one. We do not add you to a newsletter or sell or share your details.
- How the site measures itself
- We count which pages are visited and how far people get through the Hero Test and the modules, using the random code in your browser. No names, no answers, no IP addresses, and no third-party analytics. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we count nothing.
- Feedback
- Feedback and ideas go to Russ. An email address is optional and used only to reply. Submissions are screened automatically, and abusive or hateful ones are discarded unread.
- How you compare
- The result page shows what share of other people landed in each case. Those figures are percentages across everyone, shown only once enough people have taken the test that no one person can be picked out.
- Keeping bots out
- Your browser does a small, invisible check before a result, a note, or a request is saved, so automated scripts cannot flood the course. No third-party service and no puzzle to solve.
- Cookies
- One cookie keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
- Deleting your data
- Write to [email protected] from the address you signed in with and we will delete your account, results, and progress.
